Ashley's passion for architecture began at 15, where he was inspired by his father's work at the drawing board. His career pathway was confirmed after work experience placement at HYDE + HYDE, to which lead to enrollment on the BSc Architectural Technology Course at University of Wales Trinity St. David.
Within Architecture, Ashley prefers traditional and historic buildings. Working to bring back the historical context of the original structures and working with the latest technologies and theories in order to produce a sustainable retrofitting process.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys outdoor activities and is heavily involved with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme in Wales. From completing the Gold Award to being 1 of 4 Ambassadors in Wales, he frequently attends Royal Events and Young Person training weekends. Challenges such as the Welsh 3 Peaks and an Arctic Expedition to Norway are among some of the tests faced from his involvement with the DofE Scheme.
