Pyllau House

Inspired by the work of Glenn Murcutt, this is a 'light touch' contemporary extension to a traditional Welsh cottage. The client wanted large areas of glazing with thin aluminium frames, but wanted to retain a domestic and tranquil aesthetic. This was achieved by counterpointing the contemporary aesthetic with a timber deck structure which overlooks the countryside.
